WatchESPN App Now Available on Android Devices

If you like watching TV shows and Sports on your mobile device, then you must be familiar with ESPN’s WatchESPN app that was released exactly a month back on April 10, 2011 for iOS. And today, ESPN has launched this application for Android devices as well.

As for all free live video streaming applications, WatchESPN app has it’s limitations too, rather stingy ones just like the iOS app. Watching TV shows, movies and sports on a mobile device or a tablet has become somewhat of a trend these days. Advantages of such mobile TV apps include the freedom to travel and watch your favorite shows, channels and sports and the ability to view them anywhere, anytime. They don’t cost any extra money either, everything is included under the cable operators service.

To watch ESPN on your Android device, you’ll need to subscribe to one of the following cable networks: Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks or Verizon FiOS TV. If you’re not subscribed to any of the those, then you won’t be able to stream any of those NASCAR races that you’ve been looking forward to watch on your Nexus S. Subscription to these cable services will give you the option to watch ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and on your Android phone or tablet.
