Verizon Selling the BlackBerry Bold 9930 for $250

This is not as big as the previous news, about Google and Motorola, but it is a good news for all those Blackberry fans out there. If you’re in the US of A, and want to get your hands on a Blackberry Bold 9930, you can get it for just $249.99 from Verizon Wireless. The Bold 9930 has been leaked before, but now is available officially on Verizon’s site.

Verizon had earlier stated that they will be launching the Bold on their site and they’ve done exactly that. The Bold 9930 is actually a pretty great device with all the latest hardware and features. With the looks similar to the Bold 9000, this phone packs in a 2.8 Inch touchscreen display along with a 6 percent wider QWERTY keyboard. That’s not it, the BlackBerry Bold 9930 features;

  • 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, but single-core
  • 768 mb of RAM
  • 8 gb of Internal storage, expandable up to 40 GB.
  • 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording.
  • An NFC chip is also placed behind the battery cover.
All that for $249.99 if you decide to sign a 2 year contract with Verizon, whereas otherwise the phone will cost you about $509.99. Oh yeah, did I mention that this is also the thinnest Blackberry ever? Yeah and it also runs on BB OS 7!! The Bold 9930 was launched along with the Bold 9900 few weeks ago and both of them run on BB OS 7. RIM wants to sell as many Blackberry phones as possible since their market share around the world is slowly dropping. It’s main aim is to stand along Apple and Android phones and the new OS 7 has been dealt with to perform better and faster than before.
If you’re already on Verizon and have an NE2 upgrade, then you can grab this berry for just about $199.99. You can order your Bold 9930 right away from here¬†and will be available at all Verizon stores starting August 25.
