Pick&Zip : Download Facebook Albums & Photos with Single Click

Pick&ZipBeing a Facebook addict, I always try to find some awesome app which I can use along to improve my Facebook experience. Daniel from Pick&Zip, tipped us about this useful Facebook downloader web app, which let us download Facebook photos and Facebook albums with few clicks. Best part about this awesome free Facebook album downloader app is, it work over Web and you don’t need to install any addon or software to download albums or photos.

Here I’m also sharing a useful guide, which will help you to understand how you can use PicknZip to download pictures from your Facebook profile and from your Friends profile.

Pick & Zip Features:

Before, we move ahead, lets look into some of the features, which are worth mentioning:

  • Download tagged photos
  • Download Facebook Albums (Friends)
  • Download Facebook Photos (Friends)
  • Download Fan pages album and photos
  • Download in .Zip and .Pdf format.

For me, this much feature is good enough to get started with this app and a clean and neat interface is like icing on the cake.

How to use Pick&Zip to download Facebook Photos ?

Well, honestly once you go to Pick&Zip site, and logged in with your Facebook profile (Facebook login), you might not need any more explanation. But, for newbie and for non technical people, this guide will help you to get started. Go to Pick&Zip site and login using your Facebook profile. On the left hand side, you will see an option of selecting a friend and once you have selected a friend, you can select tagged pictures, albums and download all of them at one go.

Download Facebook Photos

Selected photos, will be highlighted in green and once you have done selecting all photos, click on Download at the top navbar. Here you will get two options to download these photos, either in .Zip format or in .pdf format. I prefer .Zip format.

Also, you can click on Download after selecting a friend and click on Download all photos from that person profile. This will include all the photos uploaded by that Facebook friend of yours and all the photos they are tagged in.

Download All Facebook Photos

Well, I believe that was easy. Similarly, you can download Facebook albums with one click. Simply go to album section and select any album and in hover, it will give a download button. Notice the below screenshot:

Download Facebook Albums

Another interesting feature, which I liked at Pick&Zip is it also let you download photos from fan pages which you liked on Facebook. And if you are big celebrity or Car fan, you can simply select that fan page from this app and download all photos and albums uploaded by that fan page.

I find this Facebook downloader Web app useful and worth mentioning here. Do you know, similar app or software which let you download all photos and album of a Facebook friend?

Download Windows 8 Beta : Consumer Preview

Microsoft has been working a lot on polishing the developer preview of Windows 8 that it had released last September. In only 24 hours, it was downloaded over 500,000 times. Windows is the most widely used operating system on a computer and with Windows 8, things are going to get a lot better. The company just announced the final version of the Windows 8 beta and has called it the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. I have given Windows 8 beta download link at the end of the article, and in case if you are not interested in knowing what’s new in consumer preview version of Windows 8, you can skip directly to Download windows 8 beta section at the bottom.

Windows 8 consumer preview

Windows 8 Consumer Preview

A lot is new in this consumer preview than the developer preview, a lot of bugs have been taken care of and it’s much more complete with lots of new apps, features etc. The Windows 8 beta also has the new logo for the operating system that the company had chosen few days ago. I’m sure you’ll be dying with excitement to try out the new Windows 8 consumer preview. You can do so by using the official download links at the end of this page. Before that, let me tell you something more about the new consumer preview. How it’s better than the developer preview and how it will make your Windows experience better.

Windows 8 consumer preview apps

Quite honestly, Windows 8 developer preview had a lot of bugs, very less apps and crashed a lot. However, it had some plus points too. Everyone, I believe, loved the new Metro layout that Microsoft has chosen for it’s latest operating system. If you don’t remember, then you can read our review on the Windows 8 developer preview to see what the next OS from Microsoft brings to the table.

So, the Consumer Preview or the final Windows 8 beta, that was released few hours ago has plenty of new features and is almost ready for daily use. I’m going to talk about them in short and try to cover almost all that’s new with the consumer preview. The hardware requirements remain the same and there are two versions, 32bit and 64bit, that you can download and try out. Microsoft has finally gotten rid of the Start button, like it was rumored it would. Instead, the new layout has something called as the ‘Charms’ bar and four corner gestures that take care of all the tasks!

windows 8 consumer preview Charms

The Charms bar pops out from the right hand side of the screen when you point your mouse on the right-bottom or top corner. It has the Start, Search, Share, Devices and Settings buttons. Performing a right click in any app will bring the top and bottom options instead of the old Right-click options. Left bottom corner will bring up the start menu on non-touch devices that can be clicked to view all the apps currently installed. Oh yes, there are numerous new apps with the Consumer preview, so that’s another plus.

The Internet Explorer is still like the one in the developer preview, IE 10 I mean and then you have SkyDrive(Microsoft’s own cloud storage service), X-box Live and again, new apps.

After reading all that, I’m sure you just can’t wait to download windows 8 beta version and try it out on your system. If you’re already running Windows 8 developer preview, then you probably can run this new version (build 8250). Below are the download links for both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions of the latest Windows 8 beta. Both are ISO files, so you’ll need to either burn them to a DVD or mount them on to USB. Check RAM and CPU Usage in Taskbar with Windows Taskbar Monitor

Microsoft Windows 7 is liked so much by the global users because of the great expandability features it provides. This expandability helps users customize their usage experience greatly in Windows 7. Many desktop applications help user achieve this and today we’ll be taking a look at one such application.

Windows 7 Taskbar Monitor is a small but useful application designed for Windows 7 which allows users to view their PC’s RAM and CPU usage right on their desktop’s taskbar. This utility is especially useful for those who are conscious about how much resources their PC is utilizing. These includes hardcore gamers, designers etc.

Using Windows 7 Taskbar Monitor is really simple. All you need to do is install the application and then launch it to configure settings. There are several different options available. You can select to display either your PC’s physical memory, virtual memory or total memory. CPU usage can also be selected to be viewed or not.

Windows 7 Taskbar Monitor has a warning system as well which alerts the user about their CPU or RAM resources getting low. Two types of warnings can be configured; warning percentage which alerts users when their RAM/CPU usage reaches high level. The critical usage alerts the user when the usage of RAM and/or CPU has reached the level specified as critical. These warning levels can be changed via sliders so user has complete freedom on declaring what warning and critical levels of alert should be.

Windows Taskbar 7-1

Windows 7 Taskbar Monitor utilizes very less amount of system memory (about 9 MB only) and doesn’t interfere with the general system usage. We highly recommend Windows 7 Taskbar Monitor. The utility can be downloaded via this link.

Download Honeycomb for Nook Color Now

Few days ago I shared about the not so expensive e-book reader, the Nook Color, being cracked to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. A developer from the famous XDA-Developers tried with the NookColor and was successful in porting Android Honeycomb to the device. Although the port wasn’t that successful, but the developer promised that he would work on the issues and try to sort it out and give out the build to others to run it.

So he worked on it and fixed some of the major issues and it’s now running smoothly on the Nook Color. The current working list contains:

  • Graphics acceleration
  • Accelerometer
  • Wireless [Wi-Fi]
  • Touchscreen
  • Buttons
  • Sleep/Wakeup stuff
  • Sound

Now don’t get all excited and start with this project already, because let me remind you this is not the complete Android 3.0, it’s only the preview SDK. But yes, if you like to and want to see the all new Honeycomb running on your humble Nook Color then visit the forum link here to download the required files which is about 4GB in size. Watch the video of the Nook Color running below.

Would you want to try this on your Nook Color?
