Facebook Camera App : Bulk Upload & Add Image Effects

Facebook bulk Image UploaderSome time back when Facebook acquired Instagram, we expected something awesome from Facebook. Today, Facebook launched a new app in App store which is a camera app for iPhone Facebook users.

Facebook launched Facebook camera app for iOS. As name suggests, this is an image uploader app for Facebook but not only that, it has much more option then simple image uploading. Probably, this is the reason why Facebook acquired Instagram for $1 billion.

Let’s look into some of the features of this new app from Facebook.

Facebook Camera app : Review

This new Facebook app integrated the features of Instagram app and made image uploading on iPhone/iPad and other iOS device so easily. If you are one of those who wants to upload bulk images from your camera gallery on Facebook, or take and upload picture to Facebook, this free Facebook Cam app is for you.

You can also browse images uploaded by your friends and you can like and comment on it. With this launch, here are list of Instagram filters, this official Facebook cam app has got:

Contrast, Cool, Light, Emerald, Bright, Golden Copper, Rouge, Cream, Coffee, highlight, Boost, Neon, B+W

Though, I’m hoping to see more awesome Instagram filters in coming days. In recent time, Twitpic launched their Twitter image sharing app, and it has also some awesome image effects. Anyhow, getting back to this app, if you are one of those who love to upload images on Facebook, this dedicated app will make your work easy. Specially, earlier uploading multiple images on Facebook was a headache and this new app, you can quickly select all/multi images from your image gallery and upload them.

When I installed this app, it didn’t even asked for my login (I believe because of official Facebook iOS app I’m using), and here is a screenshot of an Image which I’m taking from my iPhone and adding effects using Facebook camera app.

Facebook Camera App iOS

Once you have added the effect, all you need to do is click on compose or put the tick mark and click on upload to share photos on Facebook. You can crop photo, if you like which is another great feature for photo editing. You can also tag people directly using this Fb camera app.

You can download this app from official app store here. Facebook has launched another app call Facebook app manager few days back, which will let page admins manage their pages easily.

I’m not sure why Facebook is coming up with separate app for everything and why not integrate all the features in official app. Specially, this image effect features from Instagram, will be very handy for Facebook app for iOS. Lets see, what all new features we get to see in this Instagram Facebook Camera app, but for now do try and let us know your review on the same.

Say Cheese to Click Pictures with This Camera App [Android]

Recently we reviewed a one of a kind camera app for iOS devices known as ShutterVox, which clicked photos when you shouted Cheese, Snap etc. If you were sad that you couldn’t do the same with your Android device you would be wrong.

A new camera app is now available for Android phones that does the same things. However, the Android version adds some extra features too, such as a Stealth mode.

The app is called Say Cheese Camera, and is a perfect stock camera app replacement because it has voice recognition, stealth mode and mass photo sharing options. That’s what everyone needs at the moment, don’t they? A cool camera app that does more than just click photos. I haven’t tested the voice commands, but reviews say that not all of them work perfectly, just as the iOS app. There are many camera apps for Android, but this has all those features put together plus some more.

The voice recognition is the most interesting one, which lets you take pictures by saying words like Cheese, Smile etc. Another useful feature is the ability to mass upload photos to Facebook and create slideshows using rainSlides.

The app has many settings and useful options that’ll make it easier to take pictures. If you click on settings, you’ll find options for auto-focus, Auto-Save, Timer, Stealth ModeVoice Response & Voice Pitch, effects and the option to use your Camera button to launch this app.

It also has a Gallery for easy picture viewing so you don’t have to navigate all the way to your Android gallery. You can select multiple photos together and as I mentioned before, upload to Facebook. It’s easy to setup, all can be accessed through the settings option. There’s also a pretty useful Torch option to keep your flash on during the photo shoot, just in case you’re afraid of the dark. That mostly sums it all up. I would suggest that you try this app right away and let us know what you think of it.

You can download Say Cheese Camera app from the Android Market for free and it would require Android 2.2 and above.

Record on the Move with Capture App for iPhone

There are millions of apps available on the Apple App Store, but not all are worthy of a review or even a mention. The one I’m about to review, is an app that must be there on your iOS device, be it an iPad or an iPhone. You’ve got video recording on your iOS device, then you must download and install this app. Capture App for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is a very very very handy and useful application that places an icon on your homescreen, which when launched starts recording a video right away.

Now you’re probably thinking, there won’t be any settings or so for the app, well, you’re wrong. What do you need along with your iPhone camera? A flash button? Touch to focus probably? That’s all there! Capture app is not about any fancy settings or so, it’s about simplicity. The reason why You will probably want to download it right away is in the simplicity of this application.

After installation, you get a button on your Homescreen that says Capture. The first time you open this application, you’ll be greeted with a message saying “From now on when you launch Capture, it will start recording automatically.” Along with that, it will also tell you how to stop recording. This is the best part of this application. Normally you’d have to hit a stop button or something, but Capture lets you directly save the video to your Camera roll by pressing the Home button, which also exits the app. As simple as that.

Now, any time you want to record something that you find interesting when you’re on the move, just launch Capture and you should begin right away. Sometimes its better to be faster than carry a really expensive camera that needs at least a minute to set-up. Capture has been one of the best iPhone apps that I’ve come across in weeks, and I’d really recommend you to get it now.

Capture App for iOS is not Free, it’ll cost you $0.99 and can be downloaded from the App Store.
