Update/Modify and save files on Web Server on the fly, no need to download files for editing

Whenever i need to update my Timeline or modify a WordPress core file I dislike the thought of making an FTP Connection, update the files and then make further modification and repeat the whole process again. FTP business is time consuming, MTNL’s unlimited speeds are not comforting either.

A meager 25Kbps download/upload speed doesn’t rank high in my books.

An alternative is to create a “Site” in Adobe Dreamweaver and let it manage FTP connections for you. It saves time better there is something even better. Its the popular text editor Notepad++’s plugin FTP synchronize.

The reason why I prefer this tool over any else is simple. I can make an FTP connection, open the desired file make the changes and hit Save and the file is uploaded back to the server. I don’t have to download it or upload it back. Notepad++ takes care of the messy work. It uploads the file as soon as I click save. Its like editing a file on my local machine.
