The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a very unique phone, mainly because of the gaming keypad that slides out instead of QWERTY keyboard and so is the Xperia Arc. Both these phones are the newcomers to the Xperia line-up and are much awaited for their latest features and sleek designs. The Xperia Arc is known for it’s slim design and the beautiful Reality Display that threatens to take down Apple’s Retina display. Xperia Play brings to your palm, the power of a portable playstation and hence is dubbed the Playstation phone. Indian customers and loyal Sony Ericsson fans waiting for these two devices have some good news, as Sony Ericsson has officially launched both the phones in India.
The Xperia Play and the Xperia Arc are both packed with very good hardware and come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Play also comes pre-installed with the PlayStation Suite for enjoying PSP, PS3 and PS games on the mini-handled device. There are about 60 game title to choose from at the moment, all of which have been optimized for it’s gamepad. At a Press Event in Delhi earlier today, Sony Ericsson launched both these devices in India and provided the pricing. The prices are very high at the moment, but could decrease in the coming months.
