uTorrent is my preferred client for downloading torrents. Its free, light, clean & fast. There are times when I have kept running Torrents all through the night. Once I’d a 4.7GB download which ran straight to around 4 days.
My download speed is a lousy 25KBps so you can very well imagine my plight.
utorrent offers a feature through which you wont have to worry about your system running idle for hours even after the torrent is complete. You can schedule a Shutdown after the downloading is over.
Options->Auto Shutdown->Shutdown when Downloads complete
That’s it. Enjoy a peaceful sleep without the Fear of your processor frying up in the middle of the night.
Please dont forget to Disable StandBy / Sleep if you use Windows otherwise your system may go into Sleep mode in the middle of an active torrent. And NO, Torrents do not wont work in StandBy / Sleep mode.
