It seems Samsung is all set to grab a huge portion of Android market. To meet this end the company is leaving no stone unturned. Besides adding new customers through launching new Android- run gadgets such as newly introduced Android tablet, Samsung is also in no mood to disappoint its old Android using customers. To keep happy its old users company is showering them with the gifts of updates.
Samsung company has announced two news, one about releasing a Gingerbread update for Galaxy S and another about Froyo (Android 2.2) update for Samsung Galaxy 3 (I5800) and Galaxy 5 (I5500).
Samsung Galaxy S was launched with Android 2.1 Éclair, then updated to Android 2.2 Froyo and finally is going to be equipped with v2.3 Gingerbread update till the end of this month.
Samsung I5500 Galaxy 5 and Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3 are moderate priced old editions of Android (and perhaps users had no hope of getting an update ) and were launched with Android 2.1 but Samsung is also raising them with Froyo (Android 2.2) update for both. Galaxy 5 (15500) will get an update next week (14-20 March) and Galaxy 3 (15800) will be updated by the end of the month.
As the two news are from Samsung Romania Facebook page and not from company’ global Facebook page, so the news may be only for that specific region but we can hope so soon.
