Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 & 10.1 Unveiled

Samsung announced its two new Google Android Honeycomb-based tablets, with a slimmer 10.1-inch tablet and an 8.9-inch model joining the Galaxy Tab lineup, at the CTIA 2011, Orlando. The new models are only 8.6mm thick which means that they are thinner than the Galaxy Tab 10.1, which we have seen at the MWC 2011.

Samsung also quotes that the 8.9-inch tablet is ideal for business use and creative tasks, while the 10.1-inch tablet is meant for multimedia consumption. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 incher, which has been revamped with much sleeker looks, is the biggest surprise of the event. The tablets also feature a TouchWiz user interface implemented on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) platform, offering superior multi-tasking and enhanced user interaction and navigation.
