Usually when you buy applications for your mobile phone from any of the leading application stores like the Apple App Store, BlackBerry App World, Ovi Store, Amazon Appstore etc you’ll be asked for payment through Credit Card, Debit Card or PayPal and other online payment systems. What Samsung is introducing to their Samsung Apps payment system is something rather incredible and very new.
Samsung revealed this new Phone billing payment system earlier today and announced that customers who’ll be buying apps from Samsung Apps can now use two new payment options. Samsung rolled the normal pay via Credit card, prepaid cards and cyber cash last year and now they’ve expanded the list by adding Pay using your SIM balance and through Phone Bill. Isn’t that wonderful?
Now you can purchase apps from Samsung Apps using your SIM card balance or the amount will be added to your Phone bill. Easier ways to pay don’t you think? Currently Samsung has only launched this new App payment options in the following countries:
To mark this new launch, Samsung has also launched a new Lucky Prize Draw contest for its regular users called ‘Buy Hot Apps, Get Cool Gadgets’! This lucky draw is only applicable for Samsung Wave phone owners who will purchase apps from Samsung Apps during the offer period. The offer starts May 17 and goes on till June 20 with the winner being announced on 27th June at Samsung Apps.
Senior Vice President of Media Solution Center, Samsung Electronics, Kang-Hyun Kwon stated;
At Samsung Apps we’re committed to doing all we can to provide our customers with an enhanced user experience. The new payment method offers flexibility, choice and ultimately a simpler purchase journey.
Samsung also plans to launch this new Phone Payment option to almost all the countries around the world soon enough. Remember how Samsung Apps hit 100 million downloads recently, with only Samsung Wave Apps downloads? This is a really good news to all the Samsung Wave users out there as now you can buy your favourite apps even if you don’t have a Credit Card or a Bank Account.
