Samsung Announces 3 New Phones in Wave Series

Another announcement of multiple phones from Samsung. Very recently, they announced four phones in their Galaxy series to suit their new name-scheme and now they have announced three new phones in the Wave series. The phones are – Samsung S8600 Wave 3, Samsung Wave M S7250 and Samsung Wave Y S5380. This trio was announced yesterday and I am sure it would be a successful trio when all of them hit the stores. Samsung S8600 Wave 3

  • It comes with a Super AMOLED touchscreen.
  • The size of the display screen is 4.0 inches with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
  • It weighs 122 grams.
  • It has an internal memory of 3 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
  • It has a 8 megapixels camera with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, image stablilization and touch focus. Video recording is available in 720p@30 frames per second. It also has a VGA secondary camera.
  • It runs on Bada OS v2.0 which is Samsung’s own creation.
  • It has a 1.4 Ghz processor.
  • GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0 and microUSB v2.0 are available in the “Connectivity” section.

Samsung Wave M S7250

  • It comes with a TFT capacitive touch screen.

  • It weighs 121 grams.
  • It has an internal memory of 150 MB which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. Plus you would get 2 GB free in the box.
  • It has a 5 megapixels camera with autofocus, LED flash, smile-detection and geo-tagging. Video recording is available in HVGA@30 frames per second. A VGA secondary camera is available as well.
  • It runs on Bada OS v2.0.
  • It has a 832 Mhz processor.
  • GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0 and microUSB v2.0 are available in the “Connectivity” section.
  • It has a 1350 mAh Li-Ion standard battery.

Samsung Wave Y S5380

  • It has an internal memory of 150 MB which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. You will get 2 GB card free in the box.
  • It has a 2 megapixels camera with LED flash. Video recording is available in HVGA@30 frames per second. No secondary camera is available in this phone.
  • It runs on Bada OS v2.0.
  • It has a 832 Mhz processor.

  • It has a 1200 mAh Li-Ion standard battery.
