Jailbreak lovers all over the world, there is some really good news for you all. The new RedSn0w update that I told you about on Saturday has been released by the iPhone dev team. MuscleNerd mentioned that a new update is coming for RedSn0w via his Twitter account and showed the world few images of the new update too. The update has some really nice features such as the ability to automatically jailbreak an iDevice without having to point it to an ipsw firmware file or anything.

RedSn0w 0.9.9b1 was released only a few hours ago, the best jailbreaking tool in the world for iOS devices, makes the whole task of jailbreak super easy. It’s as easy as clicking a button, well, actually it IS just clicking a button. The latest version has a Jailbreak button, click on it with your device connected to your Mac or PC and you should have a jailbroken device in no time. This method will currently work on all iOS firmwares up to 4.3.5, iOS 5 betas are not supported at the moment.

This new update is certainly going to make Jailbreak a Child’s play, as a newbie can perform it without needing any guidance. Everything is clearly laid out and is as simple as pie.

Read the complete change-log and new features below via iPhone Dev Blog:

Update #9:  A bunch of new features!

  • uses DFU mode to try to automatically determine which device and FW you have
  • fetches pieces of public IPSWs from Apple (once).  Non-public IPSWs must be provided manually (once).  It then caches those pieces for future use.
  • “Just boot” is a tethered boot.  Uses whatever “Preferences” you’ve set for boot logo and kernel boot-args
  • “Pwned DFU” puts your device in a pwned DFU state for some of the iTunes stuff detailed below
  • “Recovery fix” gets past 1015 types of errors (when baseband portion of restore fails).  Should work on iOS5 beta too
  • “Select IPSW” is for picking non-public IPSWs, or overriding auto-detection
  • “SHSH blobs” has a bunch of options…
  • “Fetch” – fetch current PARTIAL blobs on device.  Should complete in under 10 or 15 seconds.  Puts the set of PARTIAL of blobs on your computer as a plist.  Checks if Cydia already has a full set for this device and build.  If not, it submits this PARTIAL set and returns Cydia’s acknowledgement or rejection
  • “Verify”  – cryptographically verifies existing blob files from either redsn0w, TinyUmbrella, or Cydia server.  You can select a whole bunch of blobs to verify at once if you want (like the TinyUmbrella directory)
  • “Submit”  – both verifies and submits one or more blob files to Cydia.  This lets you copy your entire TinyUmbrella cache of blobs up to the Cydia server
  • “Query” - queries the Cydia server for all available FULL or PARTIAL blobs for a given set of ECIDs
  • “Stitch” – stitches either FULL or PARTIAL blobs to a STOCK or CUSTOM IPSW
  1. Stitching is NOT yet supported on iPhones!  Need to work out the baseband part of the restore process.
  2. FULL blobs stitched to a STOCK IPSW gives you a completely self-contained signed IPSW that iTunes will accept without any tricks (no need to go into pwned DFU mode, no need to start TinyUmbrella TSS server, no need to redirect to Cydia server for blobs)
  3. PARTIAL blobs stitched to any IPSW requires you to go into pwned DFU mode before running iTunes.  No need to start TU or use Cydia though.
  4. Stitching either FULL or PARTIAL blobs to a CUSTOM IPSW also requires a pwned DFU start before iTunes restores.  No need to start TU or use Cydia though.
  5. Will eventually support fetching the blobs directly from Cydia instead of a file on your computer.
You can download the latest version of RedSn0w from the links provided below.

The Apple iPad is one of the most popular tablet devices on the planet and with popularity comes enemies and wannabes. There are a lot of chinese manufacturers out there that try to copy the elusive iPad and it’s amazing design/touchscreen, but fail almost abruptly. So is not the case with this new iPad clone from a chinese company, which is known as the Aocos N19.

A glance at the Aocos 19 will deceive your eyes and make you believe that you’re looking at an iPad, but when you get closer/nearer to it you’ll realize how wrong you were. The tablet looks very much similar to the original iPad and has 9.7 inch IPS display and a capacitive touchscreen that you normally don’t find on Chinese rip-offs. However, this tablet doesn’t run on iOS, but on Android Gingerbread 2.3.3. MIC gadgets, discovered this amazing rip-off, which has some amazing hardware as well.

The Aocos N19 runs on a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, has Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 and comes with a 1024 x 768 IPS display that is bright and has pretty good viewing angles.  It also has 720p HDMI output, 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, a microSD card slot and a miniUSB slot. That’s a lot of good features for a China made tablet!

You probably have an iPad. But some Chinese could not afford it. So what they do? Get an iPad knockoff. The Aocos N19 is the latest iPad clone to hit the scene. Unlike Apple’s original iPad, the Aocos is all about Android. The Aocos N19 is a pretty decent iPad knockoff. It was widely discussed at the local tablet computer forums for its amazing IPS display. At first sight, it is clearly an iPad clone. It packs the usual Android build into a casing that looks a lot like the real thing.

Watch the video of the tablet in action after the break.

So, if you’re looking for a nice affordable tablet, and somehow have a thing for China, then this is your best bet. For 1,499 Yuan or about $235, you can make this yours. Also check out the iPhone Fakes and the complete Apple Store rip-off from China.

Whenever a product is outed that is meant mainly for the developers to try out and experiment with, most of them end up installing it on things that the software was never meant for. Such is the case with the newly announced Windows 8 developer preview operating system. Microsoft launched it last week to showcase their new operating system, and although it comes with a few bugs, many have installed it and are trying/testing it out. The most interesting thing is the ability of Windows 8 to run on various other platforms too, such as a MacBook Pro, the Microsoft Surface or a PC with just 128MB of RAM.

The best way to install a Windows OS on a MacBook is via Boot Camp and that’s exactly how this feat was accomplished. Apparently, Windows 8 works pretty well with the Apple hardware and is smooth as well. Here’s what Brent has to say about the installation;

A lot of people have been asking if it is possible to run Windows 8 on Mac hardware through Boot Camp.  I can definitely report at this time that it does work.  You will need the latest Boot Camp drivers from Apple and a USB mouse with a dedicated right click button.

Now that’s that!! Let’s move on to the Microsoft Surface.

I’m sure most of may not have heard of this Microsoft Surface. It’s a multi-touch screen surface that uses hand or physical touch gestures to recognize and execute orders and has over 250 touch points. It runs on Windows Vista or Windows 7, but now, a certain user has successfully managed to install and run Windows 8 on a Microsoft Surface. Check out the video after the break, you’ll be amazed.

It says on Microsoft’s official blog about Windows 8, that a minimum RAM of 1GB is required to run Windows 8 developer preview smoothly with working Metro UI. However, Marcin Grygiel has successfully managed to install it on a PC with just 128 MB of RAM. It’s not fast, but all the features work and it also shows what can be achieved if a man has patience and determination. Check out the video after the break.

Have you tried installing Windows 8 yet? Done anything crazy as the ones above?

Computer and their models keep changing, so as humans keep changing their desktops to the latest version along with latest configuration. Many of us might be having a 5 to 10 years old Configuration Computer which might have been kept in Store Room or might be wondering somewhere else without any use. If it’s not in use for you, then probably its time to sell so that it can make some worth of money. You can sell your old PC and laptop to many places like eBay, your local computer store and other online stores.

Along with that, the selling cost can also give you some additional cash for purchasing new computer. Now most of the people just resell it or sell as crap to someone else without being checking some of the few most important things. As the PC looks like a crap, but still it poses some of your important data which has to be clear before it is sold. While you can also make your old PC as new one with respect to removing all sorts of unwanted data so that you might get some more rewards as well.

3 Important Things To Do Before Selling Your Old PC

Now if you are sure that you want to sell up your PC, make sure that your clear all your information related to personal and professional work.

1. Backup your old data

This is one of the most important step, before selling out one should always copy the old backup data of hard disk into an external harddisk to avoid loss of data. As well as you can also scan for data which has been left out to take, thus preventing you to be on safer side on protecting and getting safe all your information.

2. Format the hard disk (full format)

Once you are done the backup of your old data, you can also format your complete hard drive(All Hard Drive) in order to be always sure that your information has been completely removed from that particular system. This is very much required since some of your files and folders might not get deleted when you try to delete them and at that particular moment you would forget to have a recheck on them.

3. Time to Scan again

Its time now to scan again for some small virus and malware in the new installed Operating System. You might go for installing some of the best anti-virus tools like Kaspersky Internet Security or K9 Protection along with some Anti-spy software available from a list of free antivirus available programs. You can download any one of them and get your system fully scanned with the free or paid tools as per your requirements.

Once these process are done, you can go ahead with selling up the Computer at your nominal cost.

Redsn0w, the most famous jailbreaking tool on planet Earth is about to get a huge huge huge update that’s going to make it even easier to jailbreak an iDevice. Earlier, if you had to tether boot your iPhone, you’d have to point Redsn0w to the respective iOS firmware it’s running on to successfully boot, same case with the new iOS firmwares. The new firmwares are even difficult to jailbreak and hence require you to point it to a previous firmware to identify and jailbreak.

iPhone developer, MuscleNerd, made an announcement today that Redsn0w will soon be getting a huge update, which will make jailbreaking real simple and provide more/advanced options.

So what is it that the new Redsn0w do? Well, for starters, it’ll automatically download everything that is required for a successful jailbreak. It’ll browse the internet and find what jailbreak is available for your iDevice, then download the required files and perform the jailbreak. You don’t have to do anything, but hit the GO!! button.

Of course there’s no Go!! button, although there are many new and useful buttons that you can use. Check out the screenshots that MuscleNerd posted, below.

Look at all those new buttons and options. Wonderful don’t you think? This is going to be a treat for any new jailbreaker. It’s all laid out in a simple manner, just connect your iDevice to the computer and hit the Jailbreak button.

According to MuscleNerd, this update could be out as soon as next week. So don’t worry, we’ll update you as soon as it goes live, just to help all those budding jailbreakers.
