Opera Software has launched its new e-mail service called My Opera Mail Beta yesterday. The new e-mail service is now available for My Opera, Opera Link and Opera Unite account holders, who can use the same username and password to log-in into their new mail accounts.
The mail service comes with an all new user interface, with most of the features taken from Fastmail.fm (one of the company’s previous acquisitions). The mail service boasts of a faster and user-friendly mail experience that is designed for an efficient and easy to use service, which is compatible on any device, including a mobile phone, a tablet with touch interface or a desktop computer.
My Opera Mail Beta has been rewritten in AJAX application to take advantage of all the modern browsers and to speed up the entire mail experience. The major add ons when compared to FastMail is the new the feature called Conversation view, where all the messages are grouped into a single thread, to make it much easier for the users.
This has been the first public release (beta) of the service by Opera, but we can expect features to be more refined and with new add-ons which will be added during the beta period.
