Nokia Unveils Lumia 800 with Windows Phone 7.5 on board

The Nokia World Event is currently in process and along with adding some new phones to it’s Symbian line-up, they’ve finally gone ahead and announced their first ever Windows Phone 7.5 device. They announced their partnership with Microsoft earlier this year, and after months of wait, the first ever Nokia Windows Phone 7 device is out.

Nokia Lumia 800 is their first every Windows Phone 7.5 device and is exceptionally beautiful, although it basically is a Nokia N9 in disguise with slightly improved hardware. It’s a big day for all Nokia fans out there, as it’s time for them to move to the other side and leave Symbian behind. Well, it’s all a choice. WP7.5 is beautiful and we really love that Metro UI.

As for hardware specifications, not much has been revealed yet, but it sure is a powerful smartphone. With a ClearBlack AMOLED display and 1.4 GHz of Snapdragon processor power, this is going to be running apps real smoothly. It also has 512MB of RAM, an 8 mega pixel Carl Zeiss camera that has an aperture of f/2.2.

There’s more to come. The Nokia Lumia 800 is priced at about $585 and up for pre-order at www.nokia.com. It will be available in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK starting November. It’ll also be available in Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan by the end of this year.
