Motorola to Unveil a Faster, Thinner, Smarter, Stronger Device on October 18

It’s been a long time that we’ve talked about Motorola, hasn’t it? One of the main reasons is that they haven’t really brought out anything insanely new to the mobile or tablet world since the Motorola Xoom and Atrix 4G. But, it looks like they’re at it again, sending out invites for an October 18 event where they probably will unveil something awesome again.

Motorola and Verizon have sent out invites to potential invitees about an event that is supposed to unveil a Faster, Thinner, Smarter and Stronger device on October 18. I wonder whatever happened to the ‘most powerful Android smartphone ever’, the Motorola Atrix that they were so proud about. The thing about Motorola is, they never sell enough of their products to reach the spot where their phones would be easily recognizes as amazing products in the industry.

According to Engadget, the invite unintentionally revealed some details of the product that’s going to be launched at this event. While downloading the invite, the file name said ‘spyderlaunchinvite’, which I believe even a 2 year old kid can decipher. The Motorola Spyder is a rumored device with a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display and is LTE powered. There are also some other devices that Motorola could unveil at this event, such as the Droid Razr. Check out the teaser video for the event after the break, like all Motorola videos, this is a must watch.

As the video contains lot of red in it, the signs for a Droid device, it could mean that some new Droid labeled device is going to make the stage. We can only wait until the event actually happens to find out what this is all about. Motorola Droid X4 anyone?
