Motorola Announces Pro+: Specifications and Features

Motorola Announces Pro+: Specifications and Features

Yet another + from Google Motorola. Don’t you think Google is just stretching the Google+ too long. After Google bought Motorola Mobility, two phones were announced  – Motorola Defy+ and now Motorola Pro+. But that doesn’t matter really because the specifications and features of the phones are still as great as they ever were. Motorola always announces cool and nice phone and it’s no exception this time.

This is yet another Touch-and-Type phone which are now flooding the mobile phone market. Motorola also announced that Defy+ would hit the shelves of United Kingdom sometime in September. That would be good to see. For now, we would just check with the specifications of Motorola Pro+. Read on!

  • It comes with a QWERTY keypad and a TFT capacivite touchscreen(Touch and Type phone).
  • The size of the display screen is 3.1 inches with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
  • It weighs 113 grams.
  • It has an internal memory of 4 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. 512 MB RAM is available.
  • It has a 5 megapixels rear camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and geo-tagging. Normal video recording is available. No secondary camera is available in this phone.
  • It runs on Android v2.3(Gingerbread) which you are most likely to see on all the latest smartphones.
  • It has a 1 Ghz processor to make your experience of using this phone as fast as possible.
  • GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 and microUSBv2.0 are available in the “Connectivity” section.
  • It has a 1600 mAh standard battery.
    Stand-by : Up to 312 hours
Talk time : Up to 8 hours
  • Motorola Pro+ is expected release someday in October 2011.

Just like all the other smartphones, this phone will also be packed with 2G and 3G compatibility. These kind of phones(Touch and Type) really benefit people because the users can use their phone in any way they are comfortable with. If you want touch, you will use touch and if you want to type, you will use the buttons. And yeah, the QWERTY keypad would make all the typing much easier and hassle-free in this phone. So, I am just waiting for its launch to see what is the response of the people.

Great to see another mobile from Motorola..
Any idea when it is about to launch in India and what would be its price??

@Ram Well, it is going to release in October outside India, so most probably, it would reach India by January 2012 or around that. No idea about price but by my guess, it could be around Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000.
