Sometimes while working on a Mac you might find yourself facing several windows from the same application that you don’t need. Sure, you can go click the red button on each but why so much effort when there is a much more elegant way.
I first figured this feature when I accidentally opened a dozen Finder windows and another handful of preview windows. This tip will work with Finder as well as any other application for which you wish to close multiple windows.

Remember, how we close a single window? We press Cmd+W or press the red(x) button on the window’s top left corner.
Now to close all windows you should press Cmd+Option+W or press Option while clicking the red(x) close button. Both the methods will work and close all open windows for the selected application.
