Our iPod Touch 4th Generation arrived last week. Since the iPod Touch 4G will not be available in Indian Apple Stores until November, we had pre-ordered the device from Singapore. Unboxing pictures after the break.
As you will be noticing in the pictures for yourself, the iPod Touch 4G is incredibly thin and even gives my iPhone 4 a complex. The retina display and Facetime are the features which mainly set this iPod apart from the ones from previous generations but more on that later.
This is the latest iPod Touch which was announced in September at Apple’s Music Event.
Let’s look at the unboxing pictures first.
A small note here. A few readers had asked if the 4th Generation iPod Touch has a headset with mic and remote. I am afraid it does not. Now that the iPod has an in built microphone(the tiny hole on the back beside the camera) Apple ships just the earphones(no mic or remote). We’ll talk more about the headset in forthcoming posts.
From Left to Right: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G
The iPhone 4 is one of the thinnest phones in the world and the above picture will show you that the iPod Touch beats that too. It feels really great to hold this device in your hands and wonder how Apple managed to pack so much in this thin and sexy design.
Now that we have the latest iPod Touch in our hands we will be posting more tutorials and guides for iPod Touch readers too who earlier might have felt left out as CallingAllGeeks talked mostly about iPhone and Mac only.
If you have any questions about the iPod Touch 4G feel free to ask. We have already answered the question about the missing mic and remote on the headset which we discovered during unboxing.
Let us know how you like the new iPod Touch and also which is your favorite music player in the market?
