I already talked about new iPhone 5 Features and some details about iPhone 5 launch. Honestly, despite of a complete new design, iPhone 5 launch event disappointed me. I was expecting more from Apple team and liked I mentioned in iPhone 4S launch event post, this time we still missed Steve Jobs. The kind of thrill and excitement, Steve jobs used to built, we don’t see that in recent Apple launch event. Anyways, this post is not about launch of Apple iPhone 5, but a comparison of iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s.
I already told you that I will be selling my iPhone 4 for iPhone 5 because I have all the reasons to (better camera, faster processor, new design, Siri, iOS 6 and many more)…Now what about users who bought iPhone 4S? Is it a good idea to sell or trade iPhone 4S for your iPhone 5?
Thanks to guys from Engadget to create this handy chart, which compared the Duo: iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s and you can clearly see what are the difference between new iPhone 5 & 4S.
Comparison chart: iPhone 4S vs iPhone 5:
Camera is more or less the same with 8 MP primary camera but the major difference is in Front camera. If you are using Features like Facetime, Skype or any other app for front camera video calling on your iPhone, then you should consider switching to iPhone 5, as front camera gets 1.2 MP compares to VGA camera in 4S. Though, if you don’t use it a lot for video calling (Which I don’t, as I use iPad), lets jump to second point.
iPhone 5 uses Nano sim, where as iPhone 4, and 4S uses the micro-sim, but I’m sure that doesn’t make any difference here.
This is where major difference comes in. iPhone 4 and 4S looks same as design but new iPhone 5 boasts a complete new design and also lighter in weight in compare to 4S. Specially, if you are one of those who like to hold the latest design in your hand, it would be wise to ditch your iPhone 4s for iPhone 5′s new design.
iOs 6 And A6 Processor:
iPhone 4s will also be getting iOS 6 and it can’t be a reason to sell it, though A6 processor bring huge difference in processing and graphics of iPhone 5. But, despite of that iPhone 4S speed is good and until unless you are not into hard-core gaming or using any resource eating app on your iPhone, you are good with iPhone 4s.
Well, by the end you are best judge to decide if you should get an iPhone 5 or not? For me, I’m certainly buying it because I’m using an iPhone 4 for now. If I would have been an iPhone 4S user and from economical point of view, I might not trade it for iPhone 5. What about you? How likely you are going to sell iPhone 4s For iPhone 5?
