iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak by iPhone Dev Team Coming Soon

A certain video surfaced yesterday of an iPod Touch successfully running an untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1. It was quite a surprise because even the dev-team haven’t managed to release an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1. Although, we already knew that they were working on it, we now have reason to believe that the jailbreak maybe quite close for a release.

According to a recent tweet by a developer i0n1c, the progress on the untethered jailbreak has almost neared end stages and may be out soon. ion1c confirmed that he has handed over the exploit required for the jailbreak to the iPhone dev team and that it is currently in testing stages. Another member of the iPhone dev team, MuscleNerd as we all know him, has also tweeted about the iOS 4.3.x jailbreak and stated that the ‘Untether is solid!’.

This is really some good news for iPhone jailbreakers as they can enjoy all the new features in iOS 4.3.x and Cydia. We will keep you updated on when the Jailbreak will be officially released. And as this will be an untethered jailbreak your device will boot normally even when you reboot it and won’t go into a jailbroken state like on a tethered jailbreak.

Thanks to all the iPhone devs for working hard and trying to make iDevice owners happy!!
