Apple released iOS 4.3.3 yesterday to patch the location tracking bug. If you can’t wait to update and jailbreak your iOS device with the latest firmware we do have a workaround for you. Even though it is a tethered jailbreak, you can use RedSn0w to jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 until an untether is released.
This guide will only work for iPhone 4/3GS, iPod Touch 3G/4G and iPad 1. Doesn’t work for iPad 2 or Verizon iPhone 4.
Warning: If you rely on Ultrasn0w unlock then you should not proceed. Using this method you might lose your unlock forever.
Comex has confirmed that i0n1c’s untether exploit has not been patched in iOS 4.3.3 so an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.3 is on its way. In fact if you use a tethered jailbreak right now, you should easily be able to perform an untether over it, when RedSn0w has been updated by the Dev-Team.

You also need to download iOS Firmware Files – iOS 4.3.3 and iOS 4.3.2. Download both these files for your iOS device using direct download links we posted earlier:

How to tethered Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 using Redsn0w:
First update your iPhone or other iOS device to iOS 4.3.3 firmware using iTunes. Just hold Alt button on your Mac’s keyboard (Shift for Windows) and click on Check for Update and then browse for the iOS 4.3.3 file you downloaded above.
Now launch RedSn0w and click on browse. Select the iOS 4.3.2 firmware(NOT iOS 4.3.3) you have downloaded earlier.
After the IPSW has been identified, click on Next to proceed.
Redsn0w will prepare the jailbreak data. This will take a few minutes to complete. On the next screen, make sure the checkbox beside Install Cydia is ticked and then click on Next.
Connect iPhone to your computer and then turn it off. You will now be shown instructions to put the iPhone in DFU mode.
Once successfully placed into DFU mode your work is done. Sit back while Redsn0w jailbreaks your iPhone. When it says done, click on Finish and wait for iPhone to reboot.
Since this is a tethered jailbreak, you need to connect your iPhone to your computer and run RedSn0w if iPhone goes off or Cydia requires a reboot. Just follow the same steps except that instead of selecting Install Cydia you should select just boot tethered right now.
