Tomorrow is October 12 and Apple has promised the whole world with a new treat, iOS 5. Yes, iOS 5 will be available for upgrade tomorrow for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch and iPhone 4S. However, if you want to be able to do that, you’ll have to download the latest version of iTunes.

Apple has just released iTunes 10.5, which now comes with official iOS 5 support, iCloud, WiFi syncing, but no iTunes match. To be able to upgrade to the latest version of iOS that will be released tomorrow, you’ll need to upgrade to this version of iTunes now. It’s available for both Windows and Mac and can be downloaded from the official Apple iTunes site or just by opening iTunes. You should get a notification saying that there’s an update available on your iTunes.

Okay, so the main features in iTunes 10.5 are iCloud, which will let you sync all your music, apps and book purchases to the cloud so that you won’t have to download anything that you already have. WiFi sync brings wireless syncing to iTunes, no more cables. And it also brings automatic downloads, which means that when you download a song on one of your iOS device, it’ll automatically be downloaded on to your other iDevice.

So, you can download iTunes 10.5 from Apple right away and be ready for tomorrows iOS 5 update.
