We’ve covered almost everything important for the day 1 of Apple WWDC 2011 Keynote. From Mac OS X Lion to iOS 5 and the all new Cloud Storage from Apple, iCloud. Apple announced that the all new iOS 5 will be coming this fall, but if you happen to be a developer, then you can download the iOS 5 beta which was released later on the same day.
It was an important day for all Apple fans, as they waited for the official announcement of iOS 5 and all the new features that it would get. Apple said that the iOS 5 is a major update and has about 200 new features, including an all new notifications system, deep twitter integration and much more.
So you’re probably on the verge of hanging yourself for not being a developer and not being able to download iOS 5. It’s the same feeling here, but we all have to wait for Apple to release iOS 5 to the general public so as to enjoy all the new features. The iOS 5 beta is for developers only, and they can use to start developing apps and begin all their experiments to be ready when the final version of iOS 5 will be released later this year.
If you happen to be a developer then you can download iOS 5 beta by signing in at iOS Dev Center using your id and password. As you can see above, iOS 5 is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 3rd and 4th gen. We’ll have to wait till the end of this year to actually be able to use the iOS 5 on our iOS devices. I can’t wait to check out the all new notifications and the iMessage. By the way, you can download iTunes 10.3 to check out iCloud if you’re running on iOS 4.3.
Are you a developer? Do let us know if you’ve been able to actually use the new features of iOS 5.
