Few days ago I shared about the not so expensive e-book reader, the Nook Color, being cracked to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. A developer from the famous XDA-Developers tried with the NookColor and was successful in porting Android Honeycomb to the device. Although the port wasn’t that successful, but the developer promised that he would work on the issues and try to sort it out and give out the build to others to run it.
So he worked on it and fixed some of the major issues and it’s now running smoothly on the Nook Color. The current working list contains:
- Graphics acceleration
- Wireless [Wi-Fi]
- Sleep/Wakeup stuff
Now don’t get all excited and start with this project already, because let me remind you this is not the complete Android 3.0, it’s only the preview SDK. But yes, if you like to and want to see the all new Honeycomb running on your humble Nook Color then visit the forum link here to download the required files which is about 4GB in size. Watch the video of the Nook Color running below.
Would you want to try this on your Nook Color?
