Airplay was released as one of the cool feature of iOS 4.2 which lets you stream video from your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to Apple TV 2G but unfortunately Mac users were not having this privilege.
The wait for Mac users is over now as Erica Sadun of TUAW has released a MAC OS application which takes your computer as a supported AirPlay device so that now stream video from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac. The new app for Mac has been named as “AirPlayer”.
Using AirPlayer is easy as you need to download it and then install in your Mac you want to stream video built in AirPlay support to send video to your Mac. AirPlayer uses Bonjour service, which is Apple’s zero configuration networking solution for allowing devices and applications to communicate with each other over local area networks.
