In time for the iPhone 4 launch and a few days since the iOS 4 was released to all of us Apple has posted a User manual covering a vast multitude of topics to do with the new iOS 4 and the upcoming iPhone 4.
There are two versions of this User Guide.
1. Downloadable PDF version – link here
2. iPhone formatted version for viewing on your iPhone/iPod Touch – link here. This version is pretty sleek. Do check it out on your iDevice. There’s a search feature inbuilt as well. I really like the way the address bar tucks itself away giving you more space to read.
The guide itself is quite long and comprises 243 pages, split into 28 chapters covering different iOS features.
Apple’s software has been very intuitive in the past so you don’t really need a manual. In fact I don’t remember looking through one when I purchased my first iPhone 3G. Still if you want to know all those hidden features on the first day itself or you are terribly bored on that long ride home you may want to look into a few pages.
The topics range from Mail and Safari to iBooks and iTunes syncing. So now if you run into something you don’t know how to do or come across a term you don’t understand, you’ll know where to look.
