Apple has recently announced the availability of iOS’s latest update 4.3 along with the second generation iPad (iPad 2), for iPod Touch, iPad and iPhone. But this time Apple eliminates the old ones from iOS 4.3 compatibility. So iOS 4.3 features cannot be experienced on the iOS devices before 3rd gen iPod Touch and iPhone 3GS. The latest update will bring some additional features to make iOS more efficient in browsing and connectivity.

iOs 4.3

Personal Hotspot for iPhone 4

In iOS 4.3, Hotspot feature is enabled for your iPhone 4 and thereby you can use it as a WiFi router. iOS 4.3 allows you to enable only three connections using WiFi even though Hotspot can connect up to five devices. Rest of the devices can be connected via USB or Bluetooth.

Faster Browsing in Safari

A refurbished javascript engine boost the browsing speed in Safari. The new Nitro Javascript Engine will run javascript up to two times faster than in iOS earlier version 4.2.2.

AirPlay Functionality for 3rd Party Apps

In the earlier iOS updates AirPlay functionality was limited for Apple’s native aplications only. In iOS 4.3 Apple expands it for 3rd party web apps also.

iTunes Home Sharing Feature

This feature is really helpful for the users with huge iTunes libraries. You can stream your photos, videos and music from PC or MAC via iTunes Home Sharing option over a shared WiFi network.
