Earlier, whenever you read about some app on the internet, you could not previewed the app without firing up iTunes. However, the links that earlier led to iTunes now allow you to preview the app in any browser before you may want to go to iTunes. This is a welcome feature.
While there doesn’t seem to be any notification for this feature, Apple did quietly add this feature making the process of previewing apps a lot easier.

The page gives you similar information as the app description page on iTunes, providing the price, info, customer ratings, reviews and even screenshots from the app.
Go ahead and check it out for yourself. Previewing apps while browsing on the computer is no more a hectic task.
