Recently, it was told to all you readers that two major carrier companies in India will be bringing the most amazing iPhone yet to the fertile land. Aircel and Airtel brought the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS and now they’re bringing the newest iPhone 4S too. It was confirmed by both carriers that the 4S would be launched in India on November 25, but there was no information regarding the pricing or any offers.

When Aircel and Airtel brought the iPhone 4, which frankly speaking entered the Indian market a long time after it’s international launch, both provided good money back and other offers. Similar offers will be provided for the iPhone 4S as well, but the prices have truly been exaggerated. The unlocked iPhone 4S 16 GB costs $649 in the U.S whereas the iPhone 4S pricing in India will be a lot higher. Below is the Aircel iPhone 4S pricing and plan for postpaid customers and the prices don’t look so great.
Apple iPhone 4S Pricing in India

If you look at the plans, even though there is money back offers, the iPhone 4S pricing in India are nowhere close to decent. The 16GB model is priced at Rs 44,500; 32 GB for Rs. 50,900 and the 64 GB model for Rs. 57,500. That’s pretty high for a locked iPhone 4S, plus you have to pay for all the data packages and monthly rentals. According to us, it’s not worth spending so much for the iPhone 4S. If you’re planning on buying, you should probably ship one down from the United States or the United Kingdom, where unlocked iPhones are available.
Airtel has similar pricing for the iPhone 4S as well and somewhat similar offers, but for some reason, they aren’t selling the 64 GB iPhone 4S. Airtel hasn’t officially given out any information about any money back or other offers, but we assure you that there will be tough competition between Aircel and Airtel.

You can pre-order the iPhone 4S from Aircel or Airtel right away, and wait for the delivery when it’s finally out on November 25. If you want our opinion, we would suggest that the pricing is too high right now and you should probably wait until it goes lower. But, if you’re a die hard Apple fan and want to enjoy Siri, then you should probably pre-order now. What do you make of the iPhone 4S pricing in India? A bit too much don’t you think?
