Netflix, popular online premium video streaming service has updated its app for iDevices, adding support for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. Users can now not only stream videos and DVDs on their handheld devices, but also manage their instant watch queue via the new Netflix iTunes app.
The new version of the Netflix app lets iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users continue watching their favorite videos from where they left, even if they were viewing it on any other device before. This service, however, is only for those which have unlimited membership of Netflix. The new app allows iPad users to stream videos on their 3G connections, allowing seamless switching between Wi-Fi and 3G networks for optimized video playback.
The latest version 1.1 of the Netflix iTunes app is available as a free download at the iTunes store and works for iOS 3.1.3 or later.
