I’m a victim of this SPAM … Looks like FaceBook’s default privacy setting for events is “anyone can add an event to my website” … crzy isn’t?
To stop this SPAM go to Account > Application Settings > Events > Edit Settings and change your privacy setting to “Only Me”.
FB…were you dreaming when this feature was being developed?
John
There was no option to click “only me.” I am also a victim of this spam and when I tried to delete this false event, a new one came up for FREE Apple iPad. All of my friend are mad.
John (II), if you go to Customize, you can choose “Only Me”
Won’t this just cover it up, though it’s still happening in the background? Ugh
Anyone know where this came from or something?
How can I find out who added this to my profile?
Grrrrrrr I got these stupid events sending to my friends too since yesterday.. furious
Same thing happened to me. some FB application seems to be doing this. i’ve reviewed all facebook applications in ” account > application settings” and I found some FB application that links to a spam page. I also found out that it also created an event without me knowing it.
