Tablets are the fashion of today’s tech world. I guess, every techie wants a tablet whether he actually requires it or not. Apple iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Motorola Xoom, HTC Flyer and the list goes on. All of these tablets are just too magnificent and would be the first choice when someone wants a tab.
But you don’t get something by making it your choice. Costing from Rs. 29,000 to Rs. 40,000 these tabs remain the desire for many. The budget is the main constraint for a lot of people and that’s why they usually skip their plan of buying a tab.
What they forget here is that, there are some affordable tabs available as well. That’s why, I present you Top 3 Entry Level Tablets Available in India.
1. iBall Slide
It launched very recently, around a month back and gathered a lot of good reviews from around the web and the country. It marked the entry of iBall into the Tablets department after trying in Mobiles and definitely computers and computer accessories.
iBall Slide comes with a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen. It has a 512 MB RAM and 8 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 2.3(Gingerbread). Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi are available. It has a 1 Ghz processor. It has a 2 megapixels rear camera and a front camera is also available. It has a 4400 mAh battery.
The price of iBall Slide is around Rs. 14,000. Costing 14K, this tablet is totally worth of your money. If you buy it you get good quality, good features, good design, all at just Rs. 14K. But wait, there is more.
2. Aakash Tablet
Don’t say you didn’t expect the cheapest tablet in this post. When talking about affordable tablet, one tablet you cannot miss is the Aakash Tablet. By the Indian Government, something that made people happy. Something which make people see that if Government can increase petrol prices, they can get you an affordable tablet.
Aakash comes with a 7 inch resistive touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It has 256 MB RAM and 2 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 2.2(Froyo). Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi are available. It has a 366 Mhz + HD video co-processor. Battery is up to 3 hours and also comes with an option of solar charging.
The price of Aakash Tablet is around Rs. 3000(normally) and around Rs. 1700 for students. There is no point where you can say that this tab is not worth your money. This tablet may come with a low processor and less battery life, but for Rs. 3K, you can never get any better from this.
3. Reliance 3G Tab
Reliance 3G Tab is one of the most famous affordable tablet because Reliance promoted it quite hugely and that’s why I am sure you would know about it. Reliance 3G Tab is quite similar to iBall Slide in term of specs. Definitely, the specs are little less than iBall Slide but the price is low as well.
Reliance 3G Tab comes with a 7 inch capacitive multi-touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Internal memory is not available but 4GB microSD card is free with it and the memory can be expanded up to 32 GB. It runs on Android 2.3(Gingerbread). It has a 2 megapixels rear camera and VGA front camera. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G are available. It has a 3400 mAh battery.
Wow, the features are quite good. The price of Reliance 3G Tab is around Rs. 13,000. This tab is 1K lesser than iBall Slide but most of the features are same excluding battery, internal memory, etc. but yet, according to me, saving 1K and getting almost same tab would be a better choice.
So, they were the Top 3 Entry Level Tablets available in India. Reliance 3G Tab is my choice because it is just Rs. 13K and yet offers a lot of great features. This Diwali, get a tab, get a Reliance 3G Tab.
